WhatsApp Business API Pricing Calculator
A WhatsApp API cost estimator that uses your own rates, not someone else's guess. Enter your monthly message volume by category and your current per-message rate to get an estimated monthly total.
WhatsApp Business Platform rates vary by country, message category, and provider, and change periodically (Meta's pricing model is changing again from October 2026, per 2026 WhatsApp API pricing guides summarizing Meta's policy). Enter your own current rates below for an accurate estimate, or check business.whatsapp.com for Meta's official rate card.
Your Monthly Message Volume & Rates
The rate fields are pre-filled with example values so the calculator has something to show — they are not current Meta pricing. Replace them with your own rates before relying on the total.

This does not include any Business Solution Provider markup, which is typically added on top. Figures are only as accurate as the rates you enter — check business.whatsapp.com for Meta's official rate card before budgeting.
How WhatsApp API Pricing Works
Since July 1, 2025, Meta bills WhatsApp Business Platform template messages per message, by category, rather than as a flat fee per 24-hour conversation.
Marketing
Promotional messages, offers, and announcements sent to customers. Usually the most expensive category per message.
Authentication
One-time passwords and identity verification codes. Priced separately from marketing and utility messages.
Utility
Order updates, appointment reminders, and other transactional messages tied to a specific transaction.
Not every message costs money. Two windows make messaging free:
24-hour customer service window
Once a customer messages your business, every non-template reply you send within the following 24 hours is free.
72-hour click-to-WhatsApp window
When someone starts a conversation through a Click-to-WhatsApp ad or a Facebook Page CTA button, all messages — including templates — are free for the next 72 hours.
Why Rates Vary — and What's Changing in October 2026
Two dynamics make a single dollar figure unreliable for very long. First, the per-message rate for the same category differs by the recipient's country — a Marketing message to one country can cost several times more than the same message to another. Second, whether you connect directly through Meta or through a Business Solution Provider (BSP) matters — a BSP typically adds its own markup on top of Meta's base rate, and that markup varies from provider to provider.
On top of that, Meta has signaled that starting October 2026, per-message charging is set to expand to cover service replies and utility messages sent within the 24-hour customer service window — on top of the per-category pricing introduced in July 2025, per 2026 pricing guides summarizing Meta's official policy. That's a genuine upcoming shift, and the exact rollout wasn't fully confirmed at the time of writing, so it's worth rechecking closer to the date rather than budgeting off any single figure quoted today.
That volatility is exactly why this calculator doesn't hardcode a price list — it asks for your own rates so the math stays correct no matter how the underlying pricing model changes.
Cost Is Only Half the Equation
Knowing your estimated per-message cost only matters if the messages themselves are doing their job. Over 7+ years in performance marketing and automation, I've built WhatsApp automation on GoHighLevel — instant response to new leads, multi-step follow-up sequences, and CRM-connected workflows — that has helped deliver 100,000+ leads for UAE-based businesses. Based in Dubai, I work with businesses in the UAE and internationally.
A lower per-message rate doesn't help if messages go unanswered or automation triggers the wrong template category and inflates your bill. Getting the setup right — sending the right message type, at the right time, to the right audience — usually matters more to your actual monthly cost than shaving a fraction of a cent off any single rate.
Frequently Asked Questions
